Future Development
The doctoral program is scheduled on 2012. Another two new faculty members are anticipated to join the department. The department is also cooperatively working with Taitung Regional Agricultural Association to set up an Ecological Organic Farm, near the Chi-Ben campus. In the near future, the farm will produce vegetable, chicken, ducks.
We are committed to focus our investigation and research of precious and rare biological resources in Taitung with the purpose of conducting investigation and research on theories and application studies of biotechnology, evolutional ecology and fauna and flora conservation, in the hope of establishing the department as an academically prestigious group with distinctiveness.
We are committed to establish a platform to push the instructional research of life science in Taitung area for international communication and connection with the latest development of the rest of the world.
We are committed to integrate the industry, government, and academic sectors to further the research and development of biotechnology and ecology industries, while balancing the economic growth and environmental protection.
We are committed to work with forces from local community hand in hand to conserve the beautiful and delicate natural ecology system and resources.
